Coach Ernst Middendorp was disappointed with last week’s loss against Baroka FC and at the post-match press conference promised changes for this afternoon’s league fixture against Black Leopards at Thohoyandou Stadium.
Some of the players left out, though, are rested ahead of next weekend’s crucial Nedbank Cup semi-final against Chippa United.
Khama Billiat, who didn’t play last week due to injury, comes back into the team and will partner Bernard Parker up-front.
Daniel Akpeyi returns between the posts, while Bruce Bvuma will start on the bench.
Reeve Frosler will make his starting debut for the Glamour Boys, being positioned on the right.
Lorenzo Gordinho makes a welcome return to the starting XI, partnering Daniel Cardoso and Mario Booysen at the back.
Aro ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana has been playing well in recent weeks and will start again. But, instead of George Maluleka as his companion in central midfield, it will be Willard Katsande, who will also wear the captaincy armband.
The Absa Premiership clash between Chiefs and Leopards will kick off at 15:00. The referee is Khulekani Thusi, assisted by Thamaga Sebati and Moeketsi Molelekoa.
