The Kaizer Chiefs junior teams were in action this past weekend when they faced their counterparts from Jomo Cosmos, Chiefs U-17s won their match while the Chiefs U-19S were defeated in their clash.
Jomo Cosmos 2 - 1 Kaizer Chiefs (U15s)
Despite scoring an early goal through Bafana Ryan Zitha, the Chiefs U-15 team were unable to hold out for all three points as they lost 2-1 to Jomo Cosmos U-15s. The loss saw the Chiefs U-15 team lose for the second game in succession prior to this run they were undefeated in five games (W3 D2).
Jomo Cosmos 1 - 2 Kaizer Chiefs (U-17s)
The Kaizer Chiefs U-17 team gave themselves a great chance of catching log leaders Jomo Cosmos when they defeated them 2-1 at the weekend. it means that Chiefs have cut Cosmos’ lead to six points, with the Amakhosi having played two games less. Markus Jordan scored in the 45th minute and Rivaldo Malema in the 70th to secure victory for the Chiefs U-17s, who won their third game in succession and are undefeated in their last six league games.

The Kaizer Chiefs U-19 team were defeated 2-0 against their counterparts from the Cosmos U-19 team in their Gauteng Development League clash at the weekend. The team were hoping to build on their result from the previous weekend when they defeated Highlands Park but were unable to do so. This result means that they were unable to close the gap on log leaders BIDVest Wits.
