Amakhosi’s youth development academy teams had a day of mixed fortunes when they travelled to face Kathorus Hyper Academy in the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL) on Saturday.

The U14s and U15s got the programme off to a great start, both winning 2-0 against their Kathorus counterparts. However, in the afternoon, the hosts bounced back, earning a 1-1 draw in the U17s clash and then beating Amakhosi 1-0 in the U19 section.

The next round of the GDL sees Kaizer Chiefs play away to Jomo Cosmos on Saturday, 31 May.
