Muhsin Ertugral for the past couple of days has opted to conduct his business behind closed doors as he brushes up for Saturday’s Telkom Knock Out Cup Final.

Since Tuesday, when he allowed the media in, the Chiefs coach has very much kept his training sessions behind locked doors in an effort to keep his trump cards close to him. He did though break the rule on Thursday and imposed no such restrictions on young Lucky Mkhwebane. The 13-year-old boy from Johannesburg was a guest of the reach for a dream foundation at the Kaizer Chiefs Village, and got to watch the Ertugral and his team conduct a very important training session in their build up to the final.

Happy go Lucky

Lucky was all smiles as he and his mother, as well as a care giver from Reach for a dream, got to meet the Kaizer Chiefs first team after their training session on Thursday morning. Lucky, who does not have one favorite player but admirers all of them, had one wish and that was to meet The Amakhosi.

He said “All the guys were so nice to me, I will have to pass this story on to my friends. I did not think they would be so nice to me, David Obua asked me to rub his boots for good luck in the final and I hope it brings him all the luck he can get”.

Obua looking for luck

It was ironic that Obua asked a boy named Lucky to rub his boots ahead of the final, he said of this gesture “What more do you want, he is a boy who is blessed and his name is Lucky - can I ask for anything more? I can just feel the goodness that is going to come our way in the final. Lucky is my lucky charm and there can be no question about that”.

Chiefs midfielder, Gerald Sibeko had a lengthy chat to Lucky and commented afterwards “I always like it when we have children at our training sessions, they bring a special aura with them, Lucky is a pleasant guy and despite what he is going through he is able to remain strong and happy which is really encouraging to see”.
