The Glamour Boys have never missed an opportunity to participate in the tournament since it was launched 25 years ago.
“This is the same tournament that has launched the careers of the likes of Ntsie Maphike, Fani Madida, Doctor Khumalo and many more who have donned the Gold & Black. Most importantly the tournament has allowed us to make a contribution to the society that has supported this brand since it was established 40 years ago,” said Mohatle speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday morning.
The Amakhosi are currently on no. 2 on the Telkom Charity Cup standings with 8029 votes behind Mamelodi Sundowns but Mohatle is confident that the Amakhosi will be topping the Telkom charts soon, “We have been in touch with our branches through the office of Supporters Relations Manager, Cecil Motaung and we are confident that our fans will be voting in numbers in making sure we reclaim the first spot,” said Mohatle.
Fans can vote for the Club by calling 086 22 22 506 or send an sms with the word Kaizer Chiefs to 34620. The sms cost R2 – this amount all goes to Charity.
