A Soshanguve, Tshwane resident Perseverance Tebogo Molekoa emerged as the 2014 Carling Black Label Cup Champion Coach after a rigorous process. The supporters had to SMS unique codes and answer the questions to enter the fan favourite competition.

The final selection place took place on 19 Jul 2014 in Kyalami SAB TI. Six contestants from each of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates supporters participated in the final round of the selection process. They were quizzed on Football General Knowledge, Dressing Room Motivation and Half Time Talk categories. After a rigorous and audited process the three contestants from each team were shortlisted. The selection process was facilitated by Thomas Mlambo of Soccerzone. Kaizer Chiefs were represented by Corporate Communications Manager Vina Maphosa and legend Cyril Nzama at the final selection.

The winners were announced live on Monday night’s Soccerzone by Thomas Mlambo.

The Kaizer Chiefs Champion Coach for 2014 Carling Black Label Cup, Tebogo Molekoa, a student at Tshwane University of Technology was named as the winning Champion Coach and will have a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience of leading the Amakhosi against their archrivals Orlando Pirates at the already sold out Derby this Saturday. Molekoa who is currently studying towards a diploma in Officiating and Coaching Science understandably couldn’t contain his joy upon receiving the great news live on TV.

An elated Molekoa said, “I am speechless. It is an indescribable feeling to get so up close and personal with a brand of Kaizer Chiefs class. I cannot contain this feeling, I think anybody who will get this opportunity will experience what I experienced since last night. I couldn’t fall asleep. I am honoured and like a true Champion I can’t wait for the big moment to interact with the Team.”

Molekoa will be introduced to the Team before Saturday’s match at FNB Stadium. He will watch the team during the pre-match training and enjoy the lifetime and innovative experience of leading the Glamour boys on Saturday.

The starting line-ups as voted by the supporters will be announced on Wednesday, 23 July 2014 live on SS4.
