Right-back, Tlou Molekwane has told kaizerchiefs.com that he is longing to play at the new Soccer City stadium and the Telkom Charity Cup will give him and his teammates who were not part of Bafana Bafana to play at the ground the recently hosted the Opening and Closing ceremony of the FIFA 2010 World Cup.

“I last played at Soccer City back in 2005 for Amajimbos (SA u-17) when we beat Sudan and it is my wish to play at the revamped stadium. It would be an honour for me to don the gold and black this time around in front of a packed stadium,” he said following a two hours grueling session at the Chiefs Village, Naturena.

The Glamour Boys who last week topped the Telkom Charity standings are now occupying a second position, “I would like to urge fans to continue voting,” appealed the Seshego born defender who has represented South Africa at U-17 up to U-23 level.

I have personally been following the updates to see where we stand and our fans have been doing a very good job. Last week were at some stage no. 1 but now we are on no. 2…we need to go back to the top,” said Molekwane with a smile.

Molekwane added that everyone is raring to go following at two week preseason training camp in Pretoria, “You can just see the players at training we all cannot wait for the start of the season. The Club has arranged couple of friendly games including the one in Namibia this week,”

Fans can vote for Amakhosi by calling 086 22 22 506 from a Telkom line, card phone or sms KAIZER CHIEFS to 34620.

Closing date is Sunday, 01 August 2010.
