“Spanner” as the player is affectionately known will be competing with couple of players in the PSL for the award. The winner takes home R5 000 and automatically qualifies for Jet Club PSL Rookie of the Year award and the R50 000 prize money that goes with it.

Itumeleng Khune was the last player at the Club to win the above-mentioned award for his sterling performances in his rookie season, 2007/2008 season.

The winning Jet Club Rookie will be determined by the football fans through a voting process.
