Kaizer Chiefs’ longest serving player, who still plays with a verve of an 18-year-old, Thabo ‘Tsiki Tsiki’ Mooki said he will be the main man to lead his team to glory this upcoming season.

After two seasons in the doldrums, Mooki, who has been at Chiefs for a record of 13 loyal years, said he relishes the challenge.

But first he must show his fans what he is worth when Chiefs defend their Vodacom Challenge against rivals Orlando Pirates and the English Premier League’s most improved side Tottenham Hotspurs.

Chiefs take on Tottenham at the Absa Stadium next Saturday.

“I am ready to lead the team to greater heights. The new players expect a lot from me and I am willing to take the bull by its horns. It has been two years of trying but not reaching our target and judging by the response from the players, I am adamant that we will be the team to beat.

“Tottenham are coming with their strongest squad and after finishing fifth last season, they will want to continue where they left off. But we are also ready and the first sign is to defend the Vodacom Challenge.”
