Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com about opening his goal scoring account for the new campaign Musona said, “I am pleased that I was able to score against Celtic at the weekend to begin with a goal in the first game shows that I can still do more for the team.”
Musona says that he is enjoying his football and feels that his team mates have a lot to with that and that he does not believe that there is any added pressure on him this season to continue on from his award winning rookie season of 2009 - 2010.
As he said “if you play feeling that there is pressure on you then you will not perform and will not play your best and produce your best game, I avoid getting carried away by the media hype.
Sometimes it can make you think as though you on top and I am not yet there, other times it can be just the opposite, instead I prefer from game to game to just keep focusing on improving and thinking about the next game and how I can become an all round team player.”
The Zimbabwean international who has his countryman and one of Chiefs senior players Tinashe Nengomasha to lend him advice, is gaining a lot from constantly interacting with his team mates about how to improve his game.
“As a team we talk a lot to each other about how we fared in a game and I feel this is important because it helps us getting a better understanding of what we require of each other and we can work out our weaknesses and improve on them as a unit” concluded Musona.
