The Molemela family and the football fraternity have lost a giant and an icon - Bloemfontein Celtic’s honorary president Dr Rantlai Petrus Molemela is no more with us. ‘Whitehead’ passed away on Sunday morning.
Kaizer Chiefs Chairman Kaizer Motaung responded to the news with shock and sadness, wishing the Molemela family, the Bloemfontein Celtic community and friends the best during this sad time.
“Molemela has played a huge role in football,” reflects Amakhosi’s Chairman. “I will remember him for his humour and energetic spirit which he infused through his commentary and passion for Siwelele sa Masele. We have lost a great man indeed.”
Expressing his condolences, Motaung says: “On behalf of Kaizer Chiefs, I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to the Molemela family and their friends. I trust that the bereaved will be consoled by remembering the moments of love and laugher they shared with ‘Whitehead’.”
May the soul of Molemela rest in peace.
