"The Moses Mabhida Stadium is ready and looking forward to hosting the MTN8 Final between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, 20 September, kick-off at 8.15 pm." This was made clear in a press release from the Moses Mabhida Stadium Management.

The Stadium Management announced the following plans for the much anticipated sold out match.

Entertainment:

The game will be preceded by a mini-concert featuring Oskido, Professor and Dr Malinga. So ARRIVE EARLY and don’t miss out.

Gates opening:

Gates open at 4.30pm. In addition, there will also be a fan park screening of the match on New Beach, open from 6pm. Entry is free.

Security:

There will be two security check points in place before fans reach the turnstiles meaning delays are expected and people are encouraged to arrive early and allow more time to pass through the search areas.

Only fans with legitimate tickets will gain access to the stadium. Those caught with fraudulent tickets will be arrested and will face prosecution. So don’t be scammed by opportunists. We will also be on the lookout for people trying to sell tickets at inflated prices and we encourage supporters not to buy these tickets.

Transport:

Parking areas: People’s Park East, Kings Park Swimming Pools, Old Natal Command grass area, Old drive-in site, Durban Station parking, Kings Park Outer fields (see map).

Park & Ride: Shuttle from Durban Station to Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Train services:

• Special trains from KwaMashu and Umlazi to Moses Mabhida Stadium • R10,80 return ticket from Durban station to Moses Mabhida station every 15 minutes from 6.30pm until 7.30pm • Post match shuttle and special trains will be available after the match.
