Kaizer Chiefs were unable to contain the marauding Mubele Ndembe who scored a hat-trick of goals to give AS Vita Club a 3 - 0 going in the 2nd Leg of the 2nd Round of the CAF Champions League.
The game started with both sides going at each other but it was Chiefs who made the first move. In the 1st minute of the game, Tshabalala was fouled near the box and his free kick was saved by goalie Lomboto.
Chiefs were at it again in the 3rd minute but Nkhatha' shot was blocked resulting in a corner, this was after a good work on the right by Moleko.
AS Vita responded in the 6th minute but Pieterse called into action for the first time dealt with a long ball easily.
The 45000 capacity crowd went wild when Mubele scored with a beautiful overhead kick in the 8th minute, AS Vita 1 - 0 Chiefs.
Chiefs got a handle of the game. In the 15th minute, Nkhatha and Musona exchanges nearly resulted into an equalizer only for AS Vita to clear the danger after a misunderstanding between the two Chiefs strikers.
Musona nearly scored in the 17th and 18th minute with his shot going wide and the other, a pile driver was saved by Lomboto.
In the 20th minute, a good Tshabalala exchanges with Musona but Tshabalala shot went over the bar.
AS Vita nearly scored their 2nd in the 23rd but their header from a corner kick hit the upright.
Chiefs failed to capitalise on a neatly played free kick and AS Vita profited from the mishap and caught Chiefs on a counter with Mubele scoring a rebound from Pieterse's save. The score 2 - 0 with 35 minutes on the clock.

Chiefs were caught napping with Mubele lobbing the ball over the advancing Pieterse in the 1st minute of the restart.
From there on, it was Chiefs chasing the game and also cautious of not conceding the 4th goal.
Chiefs raided AS Vita's goal mouth. In the 55th minute Chiefs came close with Mashamaite missing a free header from a neat Parker free kick.
Musona's cross troubled goalie in the 55th minute followed by a 58th minute Parker corner kick, Nkhatha connected well but his shot hit the upright.
Musona missed an open net chance in the 67th minute with his shot going over the bar.
Coach Baxter brought in Rusike for Nkhatha in the 68th minute. Parker was unable to control the ball after been put clear by Rusike in the 85th minute.
In the 89th minute Chiefs received a corner and Mashamaite's free header went over the bar.
Referee added time of 4min could not help the Amakhosi to reduce the deficit.
Chiefs will host AS Vita Club at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 29th March 2014.
