DR Congo international striker Kabamba Musasa is still battling with injury and is likely to miss the Castle Premiership clash against Black Leopards at Ellis Park on Saturday.

The 20-year striker who made his international debut against Swaziland recently, damaged his medial knee ligament in the 2-0 Soweto derby victory against Orlando Pirates on March 15 at FNB Stadium.

Musasa was badly missed when Chiefs were knocked out of the Absa Cup by Ajax Cape Town at the weekend.

"The technical team will decide later this week whether Musasa should be considered for the Leopards game or not," says David Milner the Amakhosi physiotherapist.

Milner adds: "At the moment I can tell that he is not 100 percent fit because his medial knee ligaments has been damaged and it will take him another week or so to be fully fit. But that doesn't mean he won’t play - the technical team will decide."

Meanwhile, defender David Kannemeyer returns from Cape Town on Wednesday and will undergo several tests before resuming training. He is expected to resume training in two weeks.
