The Kaizer Chiefs medical Team has revealed that the Zimbabwean International Knowledge Musona has been ruled out for the rest of the 2013/14 season due to injury.

Musona suffered what was initially described as an ankle sprain in the 2-0 win over AS Vita Club in the CAF Champions League on March 29 in a tie they lost 3-2 on aggregate.

His injury was initially described as mysterious and at some point Coach Baxter said, “Knowledge’s injury is a little bit of a mystery, because the medics can’t pin down a 100% diagnosis and that is worrying because if you don’t know what you are dealing with then it is difficult to treat it.”

"Musona had another scan on the 22nd of April as he was not responding to treatment as he should have. It was revealed that there was an injury to the bone which didn't show up on the first MRI scan. He has been put in a boot for 4-6 weeks which means he will miss the rest of the season," said Chiefs' Medical Team.

Kaizer Chiefs would like to wish Musona a speedy recovery.
