SuperSport United won this corresponding fixture in the first round but the young Zimbabwean believes that the ‘tables will turn’ this time around. Knowledge and company will be hoping to take advantage of SuperSport defence that has conceded four goals in their past two wins.
“SuperSport has very tough defenders but in the last two games they have conceded couple of goals,” said Musona referring to the four goals they have conceded against AmaZulu in the 4-2 and against Maritzburg United in the 3-2 win.
“However we are going to this game not thinking about what they (SuperSport United) have done in the past but to implement our game plan. There is a belief in the camp that we can still compete for the championship. It does them become very important for us to win on Wednesday,” said the soft-spoken youngster.
Musona has already scored three goals this season and people believe he can score more goals this season.
“I always try to do my best in each and every game that I play but it is never about me. We have lot of guys in the team that can score goals like Yeye (Reneilwe Letsholonyane) and Chippa has done in the past couple of games,” added Musona.
Meanwhile Vladimir Vermezovic has paid credited Musona strike partner, Nkosinathi Nhleko whom the Serbian believes he has contributed a lot in the development of the 19-year old Zimbabwean marksman.
“Chippa is an experienced player and also a very nice guy. There is no doubt that his experienced has rubbed off in a player like Knowledge who is still very young. Nhleko is a true professional who always gives his best for the team whether he starts the game or come as a substitute,” said Vermezovic.
