Kaizer Chiefs striker, Abia Nale has expressed his desire to score his first official goal for the Club since joining early January.

The Vaal-born striker has been creating waves since signing on the dotted line during the January transfer window. His creative ability, tenacity and overall contribution saw him winning Absa Premiership ‘Man of the Match’ awards three times in a row.

“It has been encouraging to get the recognition by winning those awards but I can’t wait to score my first goal for the Club.

I can’t measure the feeling when your shot goes past the goalkeeper to hit the back of the net. Despite playing well in the past couple of games, one thing missing has been goals. I am not putting myself under pressure though, I am confident goals will come. We still have about eight games remaining before the end of the season,” he said.

“I am yet to score this season in the PSL - because I did not score this season in my previous club,” revealed Nale who scored a total on six goals for his previous club in 2007/2008 season.

He told kaizerchiefs.com that the Technical Team has been encouraging him to attack and to take shots from distance.

“I have had a few shots on goal that the keepers have done well to save. Despite the lack of goals from my side, I am happy with the contribution I have made to the team, whether it is by creating a goal or taking a defender within a run while creating for other guys to score.

We are all united under one goal here at Chiefs, to win trophies. We are playing for one another and that has brought us to the position we find ourselves in, in the Absa Premiership log table,” he added.
