Nengomasha hails “Never say die Attitude”

Midfield anchorman, Tinashe “The General” Nengomasha paid a glowing tribute to his teammates following a hard fought 3-2 win against Platinum Stars on Sunday afternoon at Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace.

The Glamour Boys who went to the game 8 points behind Orlando Pirates were forced to come back from behind twice as Platinum Stars looked at spoiling the afternoon.

“We never threw the towel. You can count on big Clubs like Manchester United who do not give up when chips are down. Credit should go to everyone in the team for keeping their head up during the game,”

“We kept our cool, played our normal game and most importantly we showed character,” said the visibly drained Nengomasha speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after the hard fought victory on Sunday.

The General also warned that there is still a long way to go and pointed out that the game against Moroka Swallows on Wednesday, 16 February 2011 is as important as all the remaining games in February.

Kaizer Chiefs travel to Cape Town on Sunday to honour a meeting with Santos and next weekend it’s the Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates.

“The game against Moroka Swallows is the most important thing for us right now. They have been doing well lately and we cannot take them for granted,” added Nengomasha.

Kick off for the game at Loftus is at 19:30.
