Tinashe Nengomasha took time on Monday to meet his biggest fan, Modise Charles Seitlholo who came through to The Chiefs Village.

Seitlholo wrote to the midfield general last year where supporters were being afforded an opportunity to ask their favourite players a question. Modise went further to ask to meet the player affectionately known as the ‘The General’ - a request that Nengomasha gladly accepted.

“I am honoured to have Modise here today. He was supposed to have been at work maybe but he took time to come here. He is very passionate about the history of the Club. We also have a lot in common as both of us have a boy and a girl – a balance that is rare for guys to achieve these days,” said Nengomasha with a smile.

“I can only promise to continue giving a 100% on the pitch for the team hoping that will put smiles, not only on you, but the multitudes of Club supporters. We have a very important game this coming Saturday and our supporters have always been key in the success of the team,”

“I could not take the opportunity to meet Modise for granted today and once again I want to thank you for your time. I wish you all the luck with your family and your endeavours in life,” added Tinashe presenting the delighted supporter a personally signed jersey.

Modise who works as a Quality Assurance Controller at Bokomo Foods said in accepting the jersey, “It is a pleasure receiving this jersey from my favourite player, Tinashe ‘Trekere The General’ Nengomasha as commentator Cebo Maanyapelo always calls him. He is a player that shows commitment every time he takes on the field,”

“It is my wish to see him at the Club until his playing days are over. I remember the crucial goal he scored against AmaZulu back in 2003/2004 season on our win to win the league. I wish he can do the same on Saturday against the same side,”

Nengomasha believes that the goal will come at a right time, “I always take inspiration from the likes of Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. They do not score often but when they do it is always the right time. It has been long since I have scored and it will come on Saturday or maybe someday,” said Nengomasha with a smile.

In closing Modise Seitlholo who believes the Glamour Boys can clinch the league this coming Saturday wished the team all the best, “There is no doubt in my mind that we can win the league on Saturday. I am sure I share the same feeling with the millions of the fans. The guys just need to go out and do this for us – they must forget about Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates,”
