The Kaizer Chiefs Retail store will get exclusive rights to sell the jersey this coming Sunday, 3rd July.
The Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung spoke to kaizerchiefs.com this afternoon to confirm this weekend’s activities: “The jersey will be available at our shop at the Village on Sunday, 3 July 2011. Our fans have been calling the offices the whole week to ask where they can get the jersey. On Sunday though, we will only have the home jersey, Replica selling for R599 and Take Down (Kick Off) selling for R399.”
“We also have an exclusive range for children which will sell for R299. I am also very happy to let our card-carrying supporters know that they will receive a 10% discount on the jersey. The store will open from 9am – 2pm,”
“The jersey and its extended line will be available from leading retailers around the country on July 7.”
Motaung is also pleased with the feedback from the supporters and football fanatics alike; “We have received overwhelming feedback with people calling the offices and others engaging us through our Facebook and Twitter pages. The supporters have particularly been impressed with the design using our emblem as an inspiration. It is something unique and we are sure that it is also going to inspire the players on the field as well.”
The Marketing Director also stated that Kaizer Chiefs and Nike would continue to execute their marketing efforts and move to raise awareness around the jersey while engaging with fans and consumers.
“This new season, our mindset is to get the Players, Fans and anyone associated with this Family, to rise to new heights and to achieve beyond their expectations!”
“We urge them to ‘Rise Khosi Rise!!!”
