Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Monday Ngcobo reflecting back on his first five months at Chiefs said, “I am having a lot of fun at Chiefs and really enjoying playing in this team, from a football point of view these first few months at Chiefs have been everything I had expected them to be in terms of the competition I would face and also what I would need to do to adapt to fitting into a new team.”
Ngcobo who spent the four days that he had off for the festive holidays at home in KwaZulu-Natal is looking to score his first league goal for Chiefs early in the New Year and is hoping to be on the score sheet when the Amakhosi take on current league leaders Sundowns.
“I have had a lot of fun during all the games that I have played in, what I would like to do now is score a goal or two as quickly as possible in the New Year it was good scoring in the cup games and the final but I would really like to help the team in their title aspirations by scoring a few league goals.”
The two goal hero from Chiefs Telkom Knockout Cup Final triumph over Orlando Pirates earlier in the month, Ngcobo has had no problem with having a shortened holiday and believes that the extra time the Amakhosi will be putting on the training ground will end up working out favourably for them later on in the season.
“I was born to win and winning does not come easy it comes with hard work and to me it’s not a problem having to train while everyone else is on holiday this is my job, also for us to be the best we have to put in extra effort.”
