Coach Steve Komphela has decided to start with two talented youngsters in this Sunday afternoon’s Telkom Knockout quarterfinal against Chippa United.
Siyabonga Ngezana missed Tuesday’s league clash against Polokwane City due to his Matric exams, but the defender is back in the line-up replacing Lorenzo Gordinho.
Meyiwa comes in for George Maluleka, who is suffering from a slight thigh muscle strain. The 17-year-old midfielder has done well every time when getting an opportunity to play, since making his debut against Cape Town City in September.
Meyiwa will be partnered in the defensive midfield role by Willard Katsande, who will make his 200th start wearing the Gold and Black jersey.
The Zimbabwean started until today in 149 league, 39 cup and 11 CAF Champions League games for Amakhosi. He furthermore came on 8 times as a substitute. The midfielder has scored 14 goals for the Glamour Boys since making his debut in September 2011.
