Kaizer Chiefs and Nissan put a smile on Amakhosi fan Sizakele Mkhwanazi’s face today at the Nissan Qashqai giveaway at the Kaizer Chiefs Village, Naturena.

Sizakele took part in the ‘Shift&Win’ competition after smsing to be a finalist at the Golden Derby between Soweto Giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates on the 26th February at the Calabash, FNB Stadium. The Mkhwanazi family attended with Sizakele to give her much needed support.

The ‘Shift&Win’ competition took place at four Kaizer Chiefs games where finalists were selected to take part in the big day at the Village. Kaizer Chiefs who are driven by Nissan hosted fans and supporters at the Village where resident Club DJ, Tokzen displayed his usual DJ wizardry. Senior Team Players Jimmy Tau, Kaizer Motaung JR, Knowledge Musona, Tlou Molekwane, Mthokozisi Yende, Josta Dladla, Thella Ngobeni and George Lebese were at the event to meet fans, sign autographs, take photographs and congratulate the elated Sizakele. Other finalists who also attended with their families were treated to a Village Tour and all walked away with Kaizer Chiefs and Nissan hampers.

Nissan, Offlimit and Kaizer Chiefs made the event possible and provided the fans with a true Golden Amakhosi experience along side MC and comedian Thomas Gumede who made sure that he brought a special spark to the proceedings.

Sizakele confessed that she smsed at the Golden Derby, she said, “I entered the competition at the game, my husband converted me into a Kaizer Chiefs fan and I am so happy to be a supporter of Kaizer Chiefs!”

Well it definitely ‘pays to be a Kaizer Chiefs fan’ and positive thinking goes a long way, as Sizakele was adamant from the beginning of the day that she was there to take the car home. When asked by Chiefs security if she was a finalist on arriving at the Village gates, she simply replied, ‘I am the winner, I am here to take my car home!”

The Village store opened for business and fans were able to purchase authentic merchandise and sign up for their membership to ensure their place as members of the Kaizer Chiefs Family.

Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung said: “I am really happy that Nissan and Kaizer Chiefs brought more ‘Love and Peace’ to the Mkhwanazi family and hope they enjoy their new ride! Thank you to Nissan, we are really happy that our relationship was able to bring Amakhosi cheer to yet another Amakhosi Faithful!”

Well done Sizakele Mkhwanazi, we hope you and your family will enjoy many rides in your Qashqai to many Kaizer Chiefs games. We hope you will visit the Village again and cherish your experience as the beginning to a long partnership with your favourite Club.
