Amakhosi skipper Jimmy Tau insists there will be no looking back for him and his Kaizer Chiefs teammates, and that they will be aiming to return from Cape Town where they will face Ajax in an Absa Premiership clash on Wednesday evening with three points. As they look to put their MTN8 final loss firmly behind them as well as cement their place at the perch of the league table.

“We are obviously very disappointed at the outcome of the MTN8 final on Saturday”, commented a solemn Tau, he then added in a more upbeat tone “the mourning period is over for us.

"On Sunday we had the opportunity to get over the loss and for us it is finished and time to plan ahead for what is a crucial game against Ajax with important points on the line for us.”

For Tau the opportunity to keep The Amakhosi at the top of the league standings as well as ensuring that they maintain their winning start to the 2011-2012 campaign, as they have not lost a game this season is an enticing one.

“For us our priority for the next few weeks is on the league championship these are going to be busy times for us, we have important business to take care of now starting with this very tough clash against Ajax on Wednesday.”

Tau and Chiefs were in Cape Town recently to face Ajax in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-finals a game which ended 1-1, having already played the Urban Warriors twice this season the Chiefs captain believes they have a good idea of what to expect from their midweek hosts.

“Ajax always have been and still are one of the most enterprising teams in the league, they always very tactically astute, we saw from the semi-finals how difficult it is to play against them.

"We do not expect it to be an easy game, like I said our focus is on the league we know we have difficult games against Ajax, Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic but our target remains to continue winning games and picking up points.”

For Tau the game against Ajax is also the opportunity to give the Chiefs fans reason to cheer again, his desire is to put the smiles back on the faces of the Amakhosi faithful, of this he said.

“We would like to win these next few games for our fans, we know that they are also down because of what happened in the Cup Final. We do believe that we can make it up by winning our next couple of league games.”
