North West Province’s Marikana was the location for nine Kaizer Chiefs Supporters Branches from the Bojanala region to get together to elect their regional structure. The meeting was hosted by the Wonderkop Branch.
David Mafora was elected as the Chairperson for the Bojanala region. He’s from the Tlhabane Branch (see hereunder for the full details).
These leaders have a big task ahead of them and we wish them great success for the next three year of their terms.
So what is the role of structures?
In a nutshell….
The fundamental role of a democratically elected regional structure is the representation of their branches. They must promote the interests of their branches and ensure that they are operating optimally within the guidelines of the constitution.
The structures need to facilitate and co-ordinate communication and dissemination of information. This can be done by encouraging the supporters to adopt communication tools like WhatsApp groups, SMSes and e-mails to mobilise everybody to attend games as well as support Kaizer Chiefs campaigns and products.
The representatives need to serve the branches in their constituency with fair and consistent management and strong leadership, based on good listening skills, positive aptitude, participative decision making, mentorship and family values guided by our ethos of Love & Peace.
Congratulations to the following candidates on being elected to their portfolios.
