Stuart Baxter was pleased with the win against Chippa United on Wednesday evening and told kaizerchiefs.com that the team now is focussed on the next assignment, The Soweto Derby.
Second half goals from Kaizer 'Anelka' Motaung JNR and Kingston 'Cijimpi' Nkhatha secured 3 points for the Glamour Boys.
Baxter was in full praise for his charges who showed good work ethic ahead of the Soweto Derby on Saturday, 09 March 2013.
"I am pleased with the win and of course three points against Chippa," said the visibly delighted Baxter.
"I thought the players showed excellent professionalism because three points in these games was as important especially coming to Cape Town at the back drop of the Wits draw.
"I was pleased for the team K (Kaizer Motaung JNR) scoring his first of the season and Kingston (Nkhatha) showing good form.
"We had to changed things around in the second half and it paid off. Chippa fought hard but at the end we deserved to win.
"We can now focus on the next game against Orlando Pirates. We continue to take it one game at a time," concluded Baxter.
