Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana World Cup defender Cyril Nzama returned to South Africa following a week on trials with relegation threatened English Premiership side West Ham.
West Ham boss Glenn Roeder told the club’s official website that Nzama was "not what they were looking for".
"Cyril has gone back to South Africa because he wasn't quite what we were looking for," says Glenn Roeder of the 28 year old defender.
"But he has a great attitude - this is the lad who flew right through the night, arrived at Heathrow at 7:30 in the morning, trained with us at 10:30, and to be fair you wouldn't have known he had been up half the night.
"He wasn't quite what we were looking for but he is just the sort of player any coach would like to work with."
