The former Kaizer Chiefs youth team member has been running his socks off over the past week, and has been hard at work in an attempt to show coach Muhsin Ertugral that is ready to do whatever it takes in order to play on Saturday. Zuke believes that facing Ajax is a challenge for The Amakhosi given the fact that their hosts on Saturday are the league leaders, and he wants to be part of the action and would like to play his part in trying to slow down their progression towards the title.
No holding back
With Chiefs and Ajax due to square off again in a fortnight's time there has been talk going around that the teams will not go all out in their ABSA Premiership clash on Saturday, and will instead look to hold back for when they meet in a Nedbank Cup match in mid march. Zuke believes that will not be the case on Saturday, as he explains “we have our aims which are to move up the table and they want to consolidate their position out in front so neither of us will be taking the match lightly. At the moment what is in front of us is the league game we are not even thinking about the Nedbank Cup match, the job at hand is to stop Ajax and fly back with three points”.
Ready
Zuke who has made brief appearance for Chiefs through the season is pleased with his own form and fitness of late and is ready to give his all for the team, as they go in search of three much needed points against Ajax on Saturday.
Speaking of his own preparations for the match he said “ I believe that it is up to me if I want to play regular football so I have decided that it is best for me to labor effortlessly at training, the coach had a few words with me after training during the week and said that if I keep on showing the kind of willingness that I have I could be seeing action soon. That really was encouraging for me and I will do as he says and continue at it, hopefully my reward will be palying on the weekend”.
