One change in Amakhosi’s line up

Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has decided to start this evening’s match against Polokwane City with Kearyn Baccus in midfield. The South African-Aussie player is the only change in the starting line-up when compared with the team that started Amakhosi’s last Absa Premiership match against Cape Town City.

Baccus replaces Khama Billiat. Billiat missed three days of training due to being called up for national duty by Zimbabwe for Tuesday’s match against Somalia in which he scored his country’s all-important goal. Billiat will start on the bench this evening.

The August Absa Premiership Coach of the month will for the fourth game in a row start with Daniel Akpeyi in goal. The trusted defence Reeve Frosler on the right, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya on the left, Mulomowandau Mathoho and Daniel Cardoso in central is expected to keep City’s attack at bay.

George Maluleka will be joined by Baccus in midfield. Lebogang Manyama in will help in attack. Bernard Parker and Lazalous Kambole will play on the wings.

Samir Nurković will lead Amakhosi’s attack.

Parker will again wear the armband.

This evening’s Absa Premiership match between Amakhosi and Rise and Shine will be played at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. Kick-off is at 18:00.

This evening’s referee is Masixole Bambiso. He is assisted by Sandile Dilikane and Lubabalo Pitsha. Akhona Makalima will be the fourth official.
