Yeye came on as a second half substitute and might have impressed coach, Carlos Alberto Parriera with his performance.
“It was always going to be a difficult game for us. Japan was on top form just before they played us and it showed even on Saturday that their confidence was high. We have to be satisfied with the draw although in reality we wanted to win the game. It was a better performance from the team in general and I am sure we can build from this ahead of our game against Jamaica,” said Yeye.
Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Monday morning Letsholonyane said he was humbled by calls from fans and section of the media that he must be in the starting line up for Bafana Bafana.
“I appreciate what fans are saying but for me as I have always said, ít is about the team not me. I am going to continue working hard in making sure that I meet my objectives and most importantly the team’s objective. My teammates here (Bafana Bafana) just like at Chiefs have been very supportive and it’s something that I appreciate,” he said.
Letsholonyane added that preparations for Bafana’s last international friendly this year against Jamaica in Bloemfontein on Tuesday are going on very well. “We arrived in Bloemfontein around midday and in the afternoon we trained. We are training again on Monday afternoon...everyone here is looking forward to the game against Jamaica and we did not have any injuries coming out of the Saturday’s game,” said Yeye.
