There was no such luck for our players. On Tuesday we trained twice as we buckled down and got back to the business of getting our minds back to the training ground, as we prepare for the ABSA Cup this weekend and our next four league fixtures thereafter.

I was disappointed with the fact that we were unable to defeat Moroka Swallows. With so many of our matches being televised the oppositions are always looking at us and trying to plot and plan our downfall. The first forty -five minutes against Swallows represented a great challenge for us as they seemed to have been well prepared. The mistake we made was conceding a goal in the first half.

We played much better in the second half and were wasteful in converting the chances that we did create. We needed to walk away from that game with three points - it would have meant more than the world to us.

Again we played well in the second half. David Mathebula made the difference when entering the field as a substitute once more he created havoc and really made Swallows work hard to contain him. Gert Schalkwyk did what was expected of him in the midfield. He along with David Obua has really being pulling the strings for us in the centre of the park. The result was catastrophic for our title hopes, but I do feel that the championship is still too close to call. With our opposition traveling around as much as they have been, I think all that moving around is going to catch up with them.

A lot of coaches are taking advantage of the fact that we are so often televised. As a big team we need to come up with a different game plan every game. The element of surprise needs to be there in each of our games and I think that we are dealing with this. If you have seen, we have been able to change things around during games that have caught out our opposition.

Once we have turned things around, moved some of the guys about, and changed our look we have opened up defenses and scored goals. For me this is great, as the other teams get clever we need to be wiser than them. If we look at our matches against Cosmos, Celtic, Swallows and SuperSport - it is clear that the opposition coaches knew what they were up against and played their cards right.

For us to become the champions and be the best team in the land, we need to be smarter than them. I take my hat off to Gavin Hunt, Jomo Sono, Roger Da Sa and the coaching staff of Bloemfontein Celtic for making the league interesting and making us earn our salaries.

For this coming weekend's fixture against City Pillars, we are leaving nothing to chance and have been hard at work preparing for the game. We have also sent out various people to gather as much information as we can about them. We do not have the comfort of taking any opponent for granted. They seem confident that they can beat us and if they feel that is possible then we will come at them with all our firepower.

We still have the double on our radar and are going to ensure that we can achieve that; our aim is to finish off the season with silverware. This weekend we will be looking to change our team around a bit and give some of the guys time off and afford some fringe players the opportunity. I am not saying this will happen but it is a possibility, we do also have suspensions and injuries that will force us to make changes. The squad is at such a stage that any body drafted in could fit in just as well as the person who has been replaced.

Remember from the end of March we have four league games remaining - two of which are at home and two of them are away from home. Take note of the dates of these matches and do your utmost to be at these games to cheer us on. Our next league game is on April fools day, so don’t be conned into not coming to watch us take on Classic on this day.

At present, the game is scheduled for the Harry Gwala stadium. I do believe that this is under review. Either way the game will be in Durban or Maritzburg - so all of the supporters who will be in the area do come around to the stadium.
