Football Manager, Bobby Motaung has confirmed to kaizerchiefs.com the acquisition of two centre backs, Tefu Mashamaite from Bidvest Wits University and Brent O’Brien Lawler from University of Pretoria.

Both players have penned a three-year deal with the Glamour Boys.

“We will not be making huge changes to the squad and the core of the team will remain. Following the departure of Valery Nahayo we had to strengthen our central defense.

Tefu at the age of 26 comes here following a superb season at Bidvest Wits while Brent, equally highly rated at the age of 21, has played in the US. I would like to welcome both players to the Club and wish them all the best during their stay here.”

“We are also hoping to beef up upfront with a striker.

We have strikers but in the past season we had injuries to our top strikers and it affected our rhythm so we will see what we can get but we are not desperate.”

Motaung further revealed that in the next few days a list of players in particular those who did not feature at all during the season will be released to continue with their careers elsewhere.
