A few Glamour Boys visited the KC Insurance store in Umlazi on Saturday morning, creating a lot of attention in Mega City.
The KC Insurance store offers customer insurance-related services and sells exclusively licensed Kaizer Chiefs merchandise at affordable prices as well as KC Mobile.
The players were Ramahlwe ‘Rama’ Mphahlele, William Twala, Sibusiso Khumalo and Emmanuel Letlotlo. They posed for pictures and signed autographs.
Mlu Ngwazi just got his KC Mobile Starter Pack installed and then poses for a picture with ‘Rama’. “I like him,” the supporter comments. “I used to be a right-back and so is Rama. There is no-one better than him.”
Twala is also popular amongst the supporters. “It’s an honour to mix with them,” the winger says, “they express their views on our current situation and that’s good.”
The KC Insurance store in Durban opened on 7 July 2017 and has been doing well, because it is a home-from-home for supporters. Apart from offering face-to-face insurance services, Kaizer Chiefs Insurance stores sell the home and away jerseys as well t-shirts, hats, scarfs, blankets and other products that can only be found in Kaizer Chiefs stores.
Mnqobi Nzuza is the manager of the store in Umlazi. “We have seen steady growth since the opening of the store in July, the foot traffic has increased by 45% over the last few months. We are selling KC Insurance policies, but overall it’s more of a lifestyle store, as we have everything that a Kaizer Chiefs fan needs, from jerseys to soccer balls.”
The store in Umlazi has three consultants to advice the client about the various insurance policies and to help find the best policy for each individual person or family.
Bafana Sibiya is the KC Mobile Portfolio Manager. “KC Mobile gives the players the exclusiveness of being closer to the latest news and the players,” he explains why supporters should get their starter packs and recharge.
Fans who recharged at the store on Saturday walked away with free tickets for the AmaZulu game on Saturday evening.
Besides that, 5 subscribers from the KC Insurance store in Umlazi won a VIP experience for the match that was played at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Thobile Mchunu visited the shop with her daughter. “I am so excited to have met the players,” she reacts. “I have been an Amakhosi supporter from a young age. It’s great that Kaizer Chiefs now have a shop so close to our home.”
