The game against Poland to be played at Orlando Stadium affectionately known as the “Mecca of South African Football” will be a last game before the eagerly awaited Confederations Cup opener against Iraq on June 14, 2009.
“The game against Poland is going to give us an idea on how far our preparations for the upcoming Confederations Cup. We expect them to be an even tougher opposition than Mauritius who we played last weekend (Bafana Bafana strolled to a 2-0 victory against ‘ultra defensive’ islanders).
“Itu” told kaizerchiefs.com that the spirit in the camp is high and everyone is working hard to protect the pride of Bafana Bafana during the Festival of Champions.
“The coaches have been pushing us very hard at training. The players have responded positively to this, which is encouraging. We are talking about the tournament, the caliber of players that we are going to face and most importantly about representing our country well during the upcoming tournament,” he concluded.
