"They have beaten us historically. It's time to start to show them we can play." Baxter comments after landing with his team in Cape Town.

Kaizer Chiefs travelled to Cape Town Stadium for a top-of-the-table Absa Premiership clash against Ajax Cape Townon Sunday, 19 October 2014, kick-off at 15h30.

Baxter looks ahead of the clash, "It is a difficult trip for a number of reasons. The difficult opponents and the Fifa break are two main features in this game."

The Cape Town side is unbeaten at home this season, with a maximum nine points from three matches and are placed second on the Absa Premiership log with 14 points from seven matches.

Chiefs maintained their perfect league record with a 1-0 home win over Maritzburg United last time out. Baxter refutes the unbeaten run as a massive story, "Chelsea coach (Jose Mourhino) made a very interesting statement in this front. Everybody is talking about the winning streak. Why should it be a massive story when we win or lose games. It's about football match. You win some and lose. That's part of the game."

The Soweto giants have beaten Free State Stars, Black Aces and Platinum Stars on the road this season.

It remains to be seen if Chiefs will break the Cape Town hoodoo of the past two seasons, Baxter states in full confidence, "Home and away is not a major difference. That as a factor plays a slight difference. Home and away game doesn't make too much of a difference. It should not be a different confidence going into the game."

The Amakhosi are placed first on the Absa Premiership log with 21 points from seven matches. Ajax are chasing with a seven point difference, a highly inspired Baxter says, "They hope to beat us and in fact the need to beat us to close the gap. We need to win the game as well."

In head-to-head stats, Ajax and Chiefs have met in 30 league matches since 1999/2000. The Amakhosi have 12 wins compared to nine for the Urban Warriors, while nine matches have been drawn.

Ajax have won seven of their 15 home matches against Chiefs, suffering three defeats in the process.

Last season the Cape Town side won their home match 1-0, while the Soweto giants claimed revenge in the return game with a 2-0 victory.

In his conclusion Baxter said the game will not be decided by the statistics.

Kickoff for the mouthwatering clash is at 15:30.
