ABSA Premiership League

Kaizer Chiefs vs. SuperSport United

Saturday, 30 August 2014

FNB Stadium

We are hosting SuperSport United this Saturday at home, FNB Stadium in the ABSA Premiership league encounter in what promises to be tough as it has always been when the two sides meet.

Baxter was in his usual upbeat mode after taking his charges through the final preparations ahead of the mouth-watering encounter.

"I think they made changes in their organisation (referring to them parting ways with their coach Cavin Johnson). We will see what effect that will have in their application. There's a possibility that might galvanize them to perform well," said Baxter.

Preparations?

"We have been doing the same as usual. We are prepared as usual. We have good news with Parker returning to the bench. He will add to the quality that we already have in the team." Baxter was confirming the return from injury of the marksman and reigning ABSA Premiership goal scorer of the season.

The approach?

"We anticipate a tough game but we are balanced and have been doing well. We are focused and have been enjoying a good run of form. Our recent form will push us to do well tomorrow night. We just want to give a good performance," said Baxter.

Injuries?

“Mphela and Nkosi are ruled out due to an assortment of injuries,” concluded Baxter.

SuperSport United beat us 3-0 in the first round last season but we turned the tables with a 1-0 win in the second round of the 2013/14 PSL season.
