Amakhosi supporters Siphamandla Ndumo from Khutsong and Wendy Mkhize from Woodlands had the time of their lives when they were treated as VIPs by Vodacom at the Vodacom Durban July.
The two supporters won the prize through a competition that ran on Vodacom Soccer’s Twitter account. They were both given hampers that included shopping vouchers, cell phones and Kaizer Chiefs merchandise.
As part of their experience, they got to attend the official launch party where they got to dance the night away - not only to local artists but also to international super stars, including Robin Thicke and French Montana.
On race day, they got to mingle with other guests in the Vodacom Red Lounge, watched the horse races and got to enjoy good music.
Siphamandla was accompanied by his girlfriend to share this great experience.
“When I first heard the news that I had won the competition via a phone call I couldn’t believe it. I broke the news to my girlfriend and she is thankful that I brought her along. I am a huge Kaizer Chiefs fan and I posted a picture of my regalia on Twitter. It didn’t cost a thing and I won an all-expenses paid trip, from flights, accommodation and food. They even bought me the clothes to wear on the Durban July,” says an excited Siphamandla.
“It was my first time to travel by plane and stay in a hotel. It was also my first time in Durban. We were treated as VIPs, everything was catered for us. I would like to say to Vodacom that they must continue doing this. I will continue being a loyal Vodacom customer, power to Vodacom,” concludes Siphamandla.
Wendy, who brought along a friend, was also excited and grateful for this wonderful prize.
“Ï want to thank Vodacom for winning this competition, I got the opportunity to meet new people and also make new friends. I would also like to thank Kaizer Chiefs, as I am a big supporter. I entered the competition after seeing it on Twitter. I posted my pictures wearing Kaizer Chiefs regalia and I won. Thanks once more to Vodacom and Kaizer Chiefs. I wish Kaizer Chiefs the best of luck this coming season,” reacts a thankful Wendy.
This competition comes soon after the Amakhosi Family Sun City competition that saw five lucky supporters together with their families go on a trip to the Sun City resort in North West.
