Amahhosi were playing their 15th home game and in the process registered their ninth win in front of local fans, while Rangers suffered their sixth away defeat.

It took Chiefs 23 minutes to find the net when David Radebe opened the flood gates with a fine header. Tinashe Nengomasha came close to increasing the tally three minutes later, but his 30m scorcher grazed the far post.

John Mosheou scored the second goal for Chiefs on the stroke of half-time when he nodded home a beauty of a Stanton Fredericks cross in the 44th minute.

Nhlanhla Kubeka called on Rangers goalkeeper Abram

Khwenenyane to produce one of his many great saves in the 55th minute. The 'keeper parried Kubeka's attempt for a corner to deny Chiefs their third goal.

Fredericks, who tormented Rangers backline, missed an

opportunity to crown his sterling peformance in the 62nd minute - with just Khwenenyane to beat Fredericks hesitated and was dispossessed.

Radebe was back in the spotlight when he confirmed his brace - the third goal for Chief's - in the 70th minute. He easily tapped past Khwenenyane much to the cheers from Chiefs supporters.

Two minutes later Radebe confirmed his hat-trick with a

close-range shot which rattled the net, putting the home side out of sight.

Amakhosi registered their 13th win from 28 matches and now move

into sixth spot on the league table with 46 points.

Rangers, who are placed sixth from the bottom with 35 points

from 29 matches, suffered their 12th defeat this season.
