Bernard Parker grabbed the first hattrick of the season and his first in the gold and black grabbing four goals in the 38th, 57th, 65th and 72nd minute while Kingston Nkhatha on his official debut scored the other one before Siyabonga Nkosi grabbed the sixth one in the 90th minute sending the 19 781 crowd to a frenzy.

Kaizer Chiefs were looking for an impressive start to their league campaign and started the game like house on fire with Kingston Nkata making his official debut coming close to opening his account for the Glamour Boys following a superb pass from Nkosi but AmaZulu defender, Thamsanqa Teyise cleared off the line.

Another debutant on the night was Kgotso Moleko who had a solid game in the rightback position before he was replaced by Willard Katsande in the 84th minute.

The Glamour Boys took control of the game with Josta Dladla, Reneilwe Letsholonyane dictating terms in the middle of the park midway in the first half.

Shabba making his return to the side forced a save out of Tapiwa Kapini as the Glamour Boys searched for the opening goal of the match.

It was Kapini again who denied Chiefs in the 31st and 38th minute saving shots from Jimmy Jambo and Kingston Nkhatha respectively.

There was no stopping Chiefs, in the 39th minute the Glamour Boys opened the scoring through a well taken goal from Bernard Parker.

Kingston Nkhatha joined an illustrious list of players such as Doctor Khumalo, Jabu Pule (Mahlangu), Collins Mbesuma who scored on their debut in the gold and black when he scored a second goal for the Glamour Boys in the 42nd minute, to make it 2-0 to the impressive Glamour Boys at half time.

The Glamour Boys took where they left off at half time with Bernard Parker scoring a screamer in the 57th minute. Playing in front of enthusiastic crowd at Moses Mabhida the Chiefs no. 25 grabbed his hattrick in the 65th minute with another well taken goal following a superb pass from Reneilwe Letsholonyane.

Parker who was unstoppable on the evening grabbed his fourth of the match when he cheekily connected a pass from Siyabonga Nkosi leaving goalkeeper, Tapiwa Kapini stranded.

Parker returned the favour in the 90th minute when he fed Siyabonga Nkosi with a perfect pass and the midfielder playing in front of his home crowed finished superbly summing up what was a brilliant evening for the Amakhosi.
