Chiefs challenging week which sees them play three games in the space of seven days, starts off with them taking on Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday evening, Letsholonyane while commenting on the week ahead said.
“These three games that we face are going to be very important ones for us, we have three tough games in a row but we have the players and the squad to navigate through this difficult week” explained Letsholonyane.
Chiefs Bafana Bafana midfielder believes that they need to go into each of their next three games with the same concentration and focus which has ensured that the Amakhosi have been unbeaten in official competition so far this season.
As he further added, “it is not easy to play Celtic, Swallows and Pirates in a row if we focus on each team and not think ahead we will be able to do a good job in each of these matches.
Celtic are our first assignment and we know how tough it can be playing against them, we have a strong enough squad to call on and players who have the experience to make sure we can be successful not just in these games but over the course of the season.”
On the issue of experience Letsholonyane has also spoken of his happiness at the fact that his club and Bafana Bafana colleagues Itumeleng Khune and Siphiwe Tshabalala did not move abroad as they were widely expected to do after the World Cup.
“This might sound selfish but I am glad that Itu and Tshaba did not leave us in the off season, I hope that someday they do realize their dream of playing in one of Europe’s big league’s. Having them for the season gives us an edge over other teams and they already have and will continue to play an important part of us as we go further into the season. Their experience will be beneficial to the team.”
