TKO Last 16

Kaizer Chiefs 1 (Parker 15) v Maritzburg United 0

"I will be bad mannered if I choose the opponents," Coach Baxter told the gathered media contingent at the post match conference on Saturday night.

Baxter's changed side battled to another 1 - 0 win over a cheeky Maritzburg. It was a repeat score from last Saturday's encounter with an odd goal separating the two sides.

"I thought we played well in the beginning of the game. We moved the ball very well and our movement was good too if you compare to the last game we played here. I am not happy with the way we progressed during the game as we started to be on the back foot. All in all it was a typical, but a good cup tie. We started to create decent chances later in the game. But we allowed them to start to attack and they could have caught us with one long shot. It was a tough cup tie." Baxter summing up the proceedings.

When asked about the upcoming Fifa break, he said, " The break sometimes disrupts your fluency as I am trying to get the other players like 'Shabba' and Parker to have some game time and be up to speed with the rest of their teammates."

The changes in the line up, Baxter had this to say, "It was mixture of factors that resulted in the changes in the line up. We wanted to rest the others and avoiding to pick up yellow cards."

Baxter said he will be working with his team to improve the goal scoring area. "I am not happy that we are scoring one goal from four chances."

The TKO Last 8 is taking place on Monday the 6th of October and asked about his choice of opponent going into the hat, "I will be bad mannered if I choose the opponent. In this league everyone can beat you. Whoever we play, we will do our best. We are on a good run. For me we have to put our feet on the ground I think we just have to keep on working. Whoever we get we will do our best to proceed to the next round."

The pressure building up as the hunted, Baxter said, "I don't find anything easily. Any game is a challenge. We trained the whole pre season. We planned with a diamond shape.

We got Shabba and Parker injured and Musona not coming back, we then changed things around with Mido(Maluleka) coming on and doing well for us. When we talk about the transitions and shifting of the ball I might have possibilities, but not finding it easy at all."

Parker in scoring sheet after a long barren period and injuries, "Parker likes to play with the ball. When he is playing he plays with ingenuity. Am delighted that he got some game time."
