October is Transport Month and the South African government will be focusing on all matters related to transport. On Saturday, 11 October, Kaizer Chiefs combined forces with the Harley Owners Group (Hog) Clearwater through event organizer Darryl Strydom in support of the cause.

Approximately 100 motorcyclists participated in a street procession of about 160km around Johannesburg, Midrand and Roodepoort to create awareness around road safety. The Kaizer Chiefs Retail Team was in attendance at the final venue of the procession, Florida Hoëskool.

Netcare 911 was also present to do road safety demonstrations and showcase accident rescue procedures.

Kaizer Chiefs is passionate about road safety and getting supporters and the entire Amakhosi Family to be aware of road safety and to remember to be safe on the roads. Awareness around this is a key part of the Club’s messaging for this season and past seasons and leading up to the Festive Season. Road safety will be a focus point.

A representative from the Club joined as a passenger on one of the Harleys in a bid to show support for the initiative. Kaizer Chiefs’ Digital Manager was delighted to be part of the initiative and to get her first ride on a motorcycle, in particular, a beautiful Harley Davidson.

Kaizer Chiefs would like to remind all road users to show their ‘Love & Peace’ on the roads, DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE, DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE and make sure to be considerate of other drivers and pedestrians.

Keep Safe Amakhosi Family.
