Rooi who has been one of the Club’s consistent defenders missed the whole of last week as Chiefs intensified their preparations ahead of the clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on Thursday.

“Thabang (Rooi) is all but ruled out of the game on Thursday. We are waiting for results of the tests that we done on him to determine the extent of his illness,” revealed Milner.

Thabang who was at his best as Chiefs conquered Sundowns early this year expressed his disappointment for missing the game on Thursday.

“I am really disappointed that the injury has ruled me out of this game. I will not rush myself back into action and hopefully the tests will come back positive so that I can join my teammates at training,” he told kaizerchiefs.com while watching his teammates sweating it out at training.

Rooi said he is confident that the team will come back with a positive result on Thursday,

“We need to win all our games including the crucial one against Mamelodi Sundowns. We all know the importance of this game but we are ready,” added Rooi.
