Safe and Blessed Easter to Amakhosi
Safe and Blessed Easter to Amakhosi

As it is the norm every year, Christians all over the world will be celebrating and observing the holy weekend of Easter.

The long weekend will have many of our supporters packing their bags and traveling to various parts of South Africa and other countries for religious purposes - to worship with fellow church members - and some will be on holiday with family and friends.

Every year at this time, the roads are very busy from Thursday until Monday, as people move between different places. We also have many people travelling back from school holidays.

We have seen many fatalities on our roads during the recent December holidays and we would like to see the number of casualties come down.

We appeal for patience on the road, adherence to the safety measures when driving, or a passenger. We need to desist from indulging in alcoholic drink when on the road as drunkenness is a major cause of many accidents.

Those who will be taking long trips, we encourage you to take regular breaks to rest.

Those who will be in places of worship, let us take some time and pray for our beloved country to overcome many of the challenges we face. As we move into the election season, we must pray that we come out on the other side without any bloodshed or violence.

In closing, we are looking forward to seeing some of our dear Amakhosi supporters at various stadiums this weekend, as our senior team plays in Cape Town against Cape Town City on Saturday, and our reserve team against Chippa United in Gqeberha.

A Blessed Good Friday and Easter weekend to Amakhosi all over the world!
