Having gone on a recent run of victories The Amakhosi will be looking for their third consecutive league win when they face Santos in an Absa Premiership clash on Wednesday day evening at the Rand Stadium in Johannesburg.

Chiefs are the only unbeaten team in the league and have won their last two league matches against Soweto rivals Moroka Swallows and defending league champions SuperSport United, most recently the Amakhosi were victorious 2 - 0 over Free State Stars in a Telkom Cup Quarterfinal clash.

The Amakhosi are on a good run and have managed to win four games on the trot which includes Telkom Knockout wins over AmaZulu and Free State Stars.

Chiefs do come up against a Santos team who are unbeaten in their last four league games having won two matches and drawn two and are currently in eighth place on the league standings, this meeting is the first of two clashes between the clubs in the next ten days. As they will face off again next weekend in the Telkom Knockout Semifinals.

Under the guidance of Vladimir Vermezovic Chiefs are unbeaten in three games against Santos, last season in league action the Amakhosi drew at home with the Capetonians but won the return leg in Cape Town thanks to a solitary goal from Reneilwe Letsholonyane.

Chiefs also managed to overcome Santos in a Telkom Knockout Cup Round of 16 match game via a penalty shoot out.

On the field Chiefs are still without striker Kaizer Motaung Junior who misses the game through suspension, in addition Vermezovic will have to make further adjustments as another of his attackers Sthembiso Ngcobo will also be missing through suspension.

Chiefs though for the most part are injury free and are at full strength for the game, victory over Santos could take the Amakhosi to the top of the table should results elsewhere work out favorably for them.

The match will kick off at 19:30, tickets for the game are currently on sale at Computicket Outlets as well as Checkers Shoprite Stores around the country.
