More than 120 kids from the Maila Nkokonono Secondary School in Magakadimeng in the Limpopo Province visited Amakhosi’s headquarters.

They got a tour around the Chiefs Village by Supporters Relationship Manager Tracy Williams, including a visit to the Time Capsule which gives a journey through the Club’s history.

The kids also met two Chiefs goalkeeper legends, Brian Baloyi and William Shongwe.

“George Lebese is my hero,” remarks Koketso Mashu. “Yes, I also like Lebese,” adds Shane Phorotlhoe.

Mabunda Wiseman, however, disagrees. “For me, Bernard Parker is the best,” he stresses.

Instead, a lot of girls opt for Itumeleng Khune as their favourite. When asked why, Poster Haka reacts: “Because I love him a lot.”

Some ask if Tefu Mashamaite and Erick Mathoho are at the Village. Both players originate from Limpopo and are therefore immensely popular with the Chiefs supporters in the province. The first team, however, had a day off.

Tiisetso Mtsweni is another who supports Amakhosi. “I learnt a lot,” he reflects on the tour across the Village. “I didn’t know that Kaizer Motaung played in America and that he founded Kaizer Chiefs. I am impressed. I am also very happy that we won the league title.”
