Head Coach Stuart Baxter has challenged his charges to demonstrate professionalism following Kaizer Chiefs' 2 - 1 victory over Platinum Stars on Saturday night.

"We lacked professionalism. I have a gripe with my Team for not taking our chances. If you look at Stars, they scored a goal against the run of play, and started playing good football. Poor decision making nearly cost us a game.

We dominated most of the game, but didn't use transition very well until we sneaked in two goals. We lacked discipline on set play. Though our movement was spot on for most of the game, we were inconsistent and not calm when in possession."

About the six changes he made to his starting line-up, Baxter, refuted claims that it had to do with the upcoming MTN 8 game against archrivals Orlando Pirates.

"We have a heavy schedule with league and Cup fixture congestion. More so that Siboniso Gaxa suffered an injury in our game against Celtics midweek. Tefu (Mashamaite) came to this game with stitches to his eye. I played Bernard Parker against Celtics even though it could have been one match too far for him, as he has been overloaded recently. It is about rotation and giving players a chance in the process.

You cannot pitch up with a weak side playing against one of the best teams in the league. It will also be disrespectful to the Stars' Coach (Allan Freese) who worked hard with his team preparing them for this game."

Baxter referred to a question about the progress that Musona is making since his return to the Club, "We are rotating the strikers. Knowledge (Musona) has been working hard in training. He is giving 100% and if you watch carefully, you will notice that we played him as shadow striker. He is a very intelligent player. I am pleased with Knowledge.

The selection had nothing to do with saving the players for the Pirates game."
