Siphiwe Tshabalala has told kaizerchiefs.com that he is honoured to lead his country for the first time this weekend when Bafana Bafana takes on Tanzania in a friendly international on May, 14.

Tshabalala who has won more than 50 caps for Bafana Bafana said on Monday speaking to kaizerchiefs.com; “I am supremely honoured to lead my country this weekend against Tanzania,” said the visibly delighted Tshabalala on Monday afternoon.

Shabba who has also been in superb form in the domestic league added that, the game against Tanzania is important for the preparations for the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt in June.

“It is important for us to carry on where we left off against Egypt at Ellis Park. The game against Tanzania cannot be taken lightly. They have very good players, some are plying their trade overseas and they have also done well during the qualifiers,”

“The objective for us is to continue doing well. The vibe in the team has been good. Some of the players who have called up to the team have been in the camp with us so they should be familiar with what is expected of them by the Technical Team,” added Tshabalala.
