Zolani Matolo couldn’t believe it when Siyanda Xulu popped up in front of his house in Pinetown to deliver his KC DigiStore order. “Siyanda, wow, this is awesome,” reacted Matolo, who ordered a tracksuit online, “to have you here at my house. I really feel honoured.”
To celebrate Amakhosi’s home game in Durban against Ajax Cape Town, it was decided that one lucky online buyer would have his merchandise delivered at his house by a Glamour Boy. It turned to be Matolo - a die-hard Chiefs supporter. Even better, his whole family was wearing a Gold and Black jersey.
Matolo’s 12-year-old son Sisa was nearly too excited to say too much when seeing Xulu. “Siyanda is my hero, together with Siphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala,” enthused the youngster.
“My whole family supports Chiefs,” Matolo continued, as the other son, the four-year-old Litha also loves the Phefeni Boys. “Litha started being a fan of Tshabalala at the age of two, saying the whole day “Shabba, Shabba’ Shabba.”
It was Matolo’s first time to place an order online with the KC DigiStore. He’s excited: “I normally drive to the retail shop at the Chiefs Village in Naturena. But this is so much easier.”
Xulu himself was also impressed. “This is a great idea from our Club,” the Chiefs defender commented. “When I was still a young kid, I would have loved to have, for example, Fabian McCarthy, visit my house.”
More and more supporters are buying their authentic Kaizer Chiefs merchandise online via our KC DigiStore (www.kcdigistore.com).
The KC DigiStore has been a great success since its introduction last year, with many shoppers, in South Africa, Africa and the rest of the world, buying their merchandise online. The ordered merchandise will be delivered at the place you indicate on the order (this may be either your home or your work address).
