After coming on in the second half of Wednesday’s win over Richards Bay FC at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, Kaizer Chiefs fullback Dillan Solomons will start his first game of the season under Coach Nasreddine Nabi when Amakhosi take on another KwaZulu-Natal based side, Royal AM in a Betway Premiership clash at the same venue.

Another player who returns to the starting lineup is Gaston Sirino, who was on the bench on Wednesday. He was previously recovering from a minor injury.

Coach Nabi will be searching for more points after Wandile Duba and Ashley Du Preez were on the scoresheet on Wednesday following sublime assists from man of the match, Yusuf Maart.

Following that victory, Amakhosi moved up from 9th position to 6th on the log, with 10 points from six matches. Royal AM are 11th with seven points after playing eight games this season.

With Reeve Frosler sent off after picking up two yellow cards against Richards Bay on Wednesday, Coach Nasreddine Nabi has decided to give Solomons his first start of the season. The second change sees Pule Mmodi make way for Sirino.

Chiefs will have a 4-4-2 formation.

Brandon Petersen is the goalkeeper.

On the left of defence, Chiefs will have Bradley Cross, with Rushwin Dortley and Given Msimango at the centre, and Solomons on the right.

After a great performance three days ago, Sibongiseni Mthethwa will again hold the midfield, with Maart supporting him. Sirino is on the left flank and Mduduzi Shabalala will be on the right.

Wendesday’s goal scorers Wandile Duba and Ashley Du Preez will work together up front.

Maart is the captain.

The referee is Jelly Chavani. He is assited by Happy Nhlanhla and Brian Kganyago. The fourth official is Romeo Matibidi.

The Betway Premiership match between Amakhosi and Thwihli Thwahla will start at 17:30 at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. The match is live on SuperSport’s PSL Channel 202 on DStv and various SABC radio stations - with regular updates of the match on X (Twitter) @KaizerChiefs.
